Ok so i finally got to this.
It turned out there are two bolts that hold down the shifter and kickdown. You will HAVE to remove these to get the valve body out. They require a little prying once the two bolts are out. Also keep in mind there is a ut and bolt that will spin freely so you have to have a wrench on both.
Once the shift linkages are removed you can remove the bolts to drop the valve body. However when you do so youll have the park lever still jammed through the trans. You can either wiggle it out or remove the E-clip that holds it in place. I did the latter, it worked for me as i didnt have to try and jam that rod back in place.
