Decided to sell

I bought a 1992 Dodge Ram with Cummins. Rather than completely re-engineer the Jeep to accept the Cummins I've decided to fix up the Dodge. Jeep is for...

Thanks for that info, good to know. I need to find out exactly what year it is, maybe I'll just wait for a deal on a mid 1990s jeep.

Thanks for the info, guess I'll see where I'm at in the spring and how much room a compact starter will really save. I like your "go for it" attitude, I'm the same way. A while back a did a similar...

A T18 couldn't handle V8 power and torque?

Eventually I'd really like to do a small diesel swap, like a 4BT, but until then I thought that it might be fun to do the MPI swap. The truck has only...

Is that all that is stopping everyone? I would think that a compact, high torque starter and a custom header could solve that issue pretty easily. My starter is well on it's way out so I was going...

Well its already in the single digits here temperature wise, so I won't be working on the jeep for a while. I do hope to pull the head off the compressor so I can start soaking the cylinders with...

Runs and drives

Well, it has breaks and I finally adjusted the timing, it had WAY too much advance. Starts and runs pretty well for still having a dirty old carb on it, just not very responsive and stumbles easily....

Finally found a good rear axle

I ended up going with a Sterling 10.25 rear end from a mid 1990s Ford F250 diesel. The price was right and it is a 3.55 limited slip. Should be a good match for factory tire size. Width is perfect...

Any one here do this swap? I have a 1966 Gladiator that I just recently woke from a 15 year nap and it has the old 232 straight six with the starter on the driver side. I have access to a free Jeep...

stub axles needed desperately

I've hit a snag with my 8 lug hub and disc brake conversion. The axles I had previously ordered were too long, I need the stub axles out of a 1967 to 1969 Chevy K20 or 1967 to 1975 Ford F-250,...

Not to over-complicate this thread, but I've ordered the axle shafts for the 1967 to 1969 Chevy 3/4 with Dana 44 (660118-1) and I'm hoping they do the trick. They are 0.410" shorter so they should...

Slowly making progress on the front brake swap. I have everything apart and clean and while I had everything apart I figured now was a good time to upgrade to spindle studs vs. the factory bolts. I...

How about new front springs (stock)? I'm working on an 8 lug disc brake conversion and my springs are pretty crusty and I think a few are broken.

New Leaf Spring U-Bolts, early FSJ

Where can I get a factory style or upgraded U bolt kit for my 1966 Gladiator? I have the goofy angled, square U bolts and they're awfully crusty and I'm going to have to cut them off. Would like to...
