I'm missing something... Why does a 4 link specifically cause horrible bump steer? I understand that a great deal of flex will cause it in general but is there something about the 4 link geometry...

I'd bet you can... I know the spindle lugs and nuts are different (and there's a different number of them) and the caliper and stuff are different but I am almost sure the whole assembly is the same...

You can do what I did and get a SD d60... They are cheap because they have a wierd non flattop and non standard knuckle but there are a couple people machining them for...

I've heard it said to tack it really solidly in place, let it cool and then pull it to weld it up... This was supposed to prevent warping of some sort... I did mine this way and it seems to have held...
