Thanks! I went through the linkage and discovered that they'd disconnected the lever from the linkage. Most irritating, took 20 minutes to correct.

If you go with an ammeter, you just limited yourself to the stock anemic alternator.

Yup, but you must select them for the lift (or lack thereof) that you have, just like regular brake hoses.

Google for "braided stainless steel brake hoses" and you'll find more than you ever wanted...

Everyone around here seems to like the ProComp ES3000 shocks. They're often on sale for ~$140 for a set of four and a steering stabilizer at fourwheelparts.com (or in their stores).

Is there any reason why you have to have the originals? Because Hella makes some that are far superior in every respect that are direct swaps; FF550's can be found in Fog or Driving variants for well...

Simply take your old hose to a shop (like O'Reilly's or a local hydraulic hose shop) and have them make a new hose with the appropriate ends, or you can take the hose off of a later rig (like my 86)...
