Manual tailgate handle

Not the inside, but the outside manual handle in good condition. I have one that is pitted already.

Got a call from my wife that her car is stuck in neutral , blocking the driveway. My guess is the clutch slave cylinder is out as well as the clutch.

Are the later brake boosters for the Grand Wagoneer any better than the one on my 1981? I'm needing to replace mine and thought that I read that they were different but would bolt up to my Cherokee.
