I would find another Wag/Chero, pull the roof...

I would find another Wag/Chero, pull the roof support and install it. I installed an additional one on mine and it solved the weak roof support problem.

I installed an additional headliner support...

I installed an additional headliner support between the existing headliner support and tailgate. It helped a lot. There is an existing brace to mount it to if you remove or don't have a headliner up.

Yes. I installed an extra brace, the one used to hold the headliner up. I put some type of cushion (can't remember what I used) between it and the roof and it totally solved the roof sag and luggage...

In an old Mustang I had I cut out the old floors and pop riveted in new ones. Not OEM but it worked well. And it was free.
