uits been a long time since i looked at a 2150...

uits been a long time since i looked at a 2150 carb...but as i recall on the plastic fast idle cam,the tab breaks off on these now and then which renders them inoperable.

i'd keep the V8 in the GW however.

its actually the differential in the VC unit that fails. the VC itself does not transfer the power. the 228 is a 229 but with only the center diff,not the VC.

as i recall,you will need a spacer between the dodge transmission and the Jeep transfer case,as the dodge has a deeper stick out on the tranny output and thus,a deeper inset on the transfer case.

could be the alternator. try fully disconnecting it next time it sits a few days. the starter ran on due to low voltage causing a load on the solenoid,welding the contacts momentarily.

yeah,sbc studs generally work. and you don't need guide plates. you MUST run hardened pushrods however.


pretty sure the 1.7's would not clear stock covers,but i really don't recall.

the sprag bearing tore loose from the tranny case. if the case isn't busted you can put a bolt in sprag in there but the trans has to be fully tore down.

yep. it's the egr pathway. the drilling for the valve itself was not done but the passage under the intake was,that way it's simple to make it an egr intake.



that hole is harmless and leads...
