If worse comes to worse, just ground the NSS...

If worse comes to worse, just ground the NSS prong on the starter solenoid to the body.

Sorry for the late response, but I had room to open up the 360 going up the pass. It's just that I like taking it slow up mountains...

And if I tried to put more load on the engine, it overheats.

Success!

I made it up and out of Black Canyon without overheating!!! To be honest, Nodoka barely had a hard time holding 50 in second gear. With all that said, I have turned around since half my tank is gone...

The part that gets me is that once this is fixed, there is no telling if it will happen again. After that, I still have to figure out the leak, and why it overheats going up hills.

It wasn't. The hole is on the passenger side of the cover, it's like it wasn't fully cast in that area, like the wall was paper thin.

The Ford transfer cases are too wide for a FSJ frame. Input shaft swap on a 208AM with an input shaft from a 208F will do the trick

Actually the AOD can handle a decent amount of stress, I had one pull me five times across city, do a lot of rock crawling and still didn't slip or need work. If this is being used for city driving...
