The charcoal is most likely coming from the Charcoal canister through the Purge line. Either disconnect it or add a canister style fuel filter to stop the junk from getting into the float bowl.

I did the same as tripwire, pulled the bolt, cleaned the threads and put thread sealer on the threads. (Liquid teflon). No more leaks, at least from the intake bolts. :)
