Yeah I used the same bolts. Had the guy at the transmission shop look at it when my flexplate was replaced, he told me the chrome ones are prone to leak. Really liked the drain plug too.

Bought that same transmission pan off ebay, couldn't get it to stop leaking! Used to Mopar oem gasket too and bead blasted the rim of the pan. Nice progress on the build.

Backfire/popping through exhaust

Just started doing this the last 2-3 days under acceleration. Was running perfect before this and no adjustments have been made in months. Need ideas where to start looking to get this fixed, Thanks!

Would going up a size or two in metering rods or different springs lean it out enough at idle to get it through emissions? Or bringing out the idle screws on the Edelbrock carb?

Finally had to take it for emissions testing this AM and passed both idle test, one at 2500 rpm and the other at idle

Conditions 8am 81 degrees


2500rpm standard-1.20 me-0.02 co2% ...

Edelbrock 2131 intake gasket questions

I replaced the gasket pan and per the Edelbrock instructions it says to ditch the rubber end pieces and use RTV.

It did it quite a bit today. Used a vacuum gauge to adjust it, dropped about 1" and seems to run fine. I'll leave it here and see what happens.
