Engine rebuild help in Eastern VA

So I'm considering an engine rebuild on my 88 GW -- Its my daily driver, but I'm off for the next month. It's not something I think I can take on in my driveway...

Anyone know of any good engine...

I was more worried about any clearance issues. Routing the brake line across the transmission crossmember...

Anyone have any idea why shipping is so outrageous when ordering from BJs and TGW?

I can't justify $16 shipping on a $24 part. Any other ideas for specialty parts?
