I'm happy with my CC 268H. Also, worth the extra coin to have hardened exhaust valve seats installed when you get the heads done.

X2 on the Dodge axle. I have an '85 in mine. Mines 5 lug 1/2 ton, but I'm sure spindles and 8 lug hubs from any other 3/4 ton d44 would swap.

No, stock exhaust valves. Think what makes them look oversize in the picks is the seat inserts. I don't recall what casting numbers they are. I took those pics and built the motor back in '02!

Are you still running the stock closed knuckle front axle with drum brakes? If you are inboarding the springs, might as well upgrade to a better open knuckle front axle with disc brakes as well.
