79 was the first year of the one-piece front bumper. So 79-87 /J-10/20 or 79-83 WT Chero will be the proper width.

An 80 Wag one piece bumper won't fit on a WT truck. An original AMC Pre 79(?) 3 piece wag front bumper can be disassembled and expanded using the existing bolt holes to fit a a WT.

Haven't done it on a FSJ but ran LED turn sigs on a couple bikes. Lot easier to just replace the orig flasher unit with an electronic one.

Don't know about a 74 truck but on my 73 the fill pipe with the vent hose was mostly molded fuel hose with the vent hose molded in. Yup it rotted and leaked. I tore it all out and had a muffler shop...

I think most folks go for the look rather than the function. I've run open air boxes on other V8's and never really noticed any plus or minuses but it does sound cooler when the secondaries kick in....

Spray silicone works fine. Not messy at all but it's not a cure for an out of alignment binding piece of window glass. Just a bit of yearly preventative maint.
