Well still have 2 waggys.. 88 is rotting away and 79 is in the garage with the motor torn halfway down, its too worn out to use anymore.. (and just after I bought a powermaster alt and an msd distro...

I would get the FSJ with the best frame and body I could, and consider the rest of the parts...

I usually replace the trans mount with a poly one. Those come with the donuts for that other piece that WSHII was talking about. My 88 was so sloppy (in that area) that I used to just have a length...

Choke wont have power until the engine is running.. once there is oil pressure a switch closes and turns power on for the choke heater.

Take off the air cleaner lid.. push on the gas pedal one...

Just an idea but for me its always been either hot starter or timing advanced a little to far that makes it start hard hot.. might wanna check that there isnt an exhaust leak cooking your starter...
