7/16 and 11mm wrenches go either way. If the bolts were metric they would be 6mm. 6mm is a tad larger than 1/4", so if the stripped bolt wont fit a regular 1/4-20 nut then i would go for a 6mm...

When the flasher unit went , I would swap it...

When the flasher unit went , I would swap it with the 4 way unit so I had blinkers. They used to be cheap. I'd start by making sure you had a good one:thumbsup:

check for loose/dirty connections in the big wires. Dont overlook ground straps. Jump the ammeter before the wires catch fire. A volt/ohm meter is a good tool to have. :thumbsup:
