I think they are fairly pointless unless you are doing some towing. The sway bar is another story though. FSJs with sway bars...

Not all FSJ rear axles have inner and outer seals. I toss the inner seals in the trash and let the gear lube flow in the bearing. I do pack them good with grease on assembly.
