Can't you loosen the fitting and rotate the AC fitting 90 degrees so that it doesn't hit the valve cover, then retighten it?

Yes the rear switch you have to get to the very bottom. But it sounds like just your front switch is giving the hassles. That one just pops out if you squeeze the tabs from behind.

Tighten em up. Sounds like one or two are loose.

I'd tighten them all, then slightly loosen each one like 1/8-1/4 turn and run the window up and down to center everything up, then tighten them down...

The only ones I've installed were really basic like 12"x12" and simply zip tied to the front of the radiator.

Worked well.
