    Tinkerjeep - J4X

This started life in 1976, and then again in 1977, and again 2 years later. That's right, it's a 1976 Wagoneer cab, which I chopped and filled-in with a 1977 J-10 rear cab wall, mounted on a 1979 J-20 frame with shortened J20 bed. The powertrain is : '78 AMC 401 bored .030"; cam/intake/carb - Edelbrock Performer; Pistons - TRW L2380s forged; Headers- Hedman; dual custom built 2.5" pipes; TH400 tranny - just recently rebuilt -basically stock, with low stall TC; BorgWarner Quadratrac - rebuilt w/ lowrange; front and rear D-shafts rebuilt; front D44, rear D60 -stock; 16x8 American Racing (I think) alloys, shod with Maxxis 285/75x16 751s. Thing has some vibration issues - the axles hubs/bearings are 30 years old, but its a fun rig to run.
