Is Reno's Hot August Nights not just for MOPARs anymore?

I always thought Hot August Nights in Reno was all about MOPARs but looking around on their website, it looks more like MOPARs and others. I have also heard a few die hard MOPAR guys say "Yeah, Jeep was AMC then but we bought AMC, so you are still in the family". I am not sure I agree but the kindness/acceptance is appreciated.

I am sort of looking for an excuse to drive my turd to my parents house in Sparks and if there is a decent AMC/Jeep showing maybe I'll road trip up and join them? I guess they Reno is definitely planning to hold H.A.N. this year.

I have never been. The schedule shows it's a week long. I don't think I can take a whole week off from work for that as I am trying to save up some "off time" for my move. What are the best nights to be there? Any advice from someone that has gone?

The few times I've been there has certainly been more than just Mopars. It's a mix of everything like any other car show, just much bigger.

It was never a Mopar-only gig as far as I'm aware. I went once, back in '93, and there was everything from traditional prewar style hot rods all the way up through muscle era stuff. No brand bias that I saw. I think we just made a weekend of it. Too long ago to be of much use in advising you now.

          It's August. You going?

Did you know? Willys is just Willis spelled differently, but pronounced the same. Neither Willy nor his apostrophe are involved.

Nope. My wheel feel off. Waiting on parts.

Oh, and my daughter is moving to Vancouver WA this weekend and we are helping her move. That just pretty much screwed any hopes of taking my rig anywhere, let alone up the 5 in August.
