Yesterday I was going through a ditch, due to dry grass it was deeper than I thought so I hit it a little fast. Broke my D20 houseing and the adapter between it and the tranny. First question, could my front drive line be too long?
Next Question, What doner vehicle does the replacement need to come out of and can I tell if it's good by looking inside or should I just take it in and have it gone through?
Last question for now, is the remove and replace pretty straight forward or is there any helpful hints that I should keep in mind?

Seems a couple people have broken there D20 adapter lately, one being River Beast, and i think Porkchop. Seems there pretty hard to find replacements. But I believe Advance Adapter has one that will replace the stock one, but is stronger. Its pretty pricey though, but otherwise, youll have to hit the junk yards.

On the other stuff, I dont know, Im sure someone else will chime in...

Thanks for the input Ramjet. Does anyone know if you could get a D20 behind an automatic in 78. Been looking for a T/C and everyone tells me you could only get a Quad with an auto. If this is true a PO must have swapped it out.

78 blu ox, the AA kit needs a tailshaft replacement there adapter is only like an inch thick. So the tail shaft has to be replaced. Novak sell's OEM replacements for 255.00 (lifetime warranty)In 78 you couldn't get that combo. In 1970 yes, but it used a (B.O.P.) adapter plate to mount it to the Amc engine.
