I am looking into jumping on the bandwagon and getting an early FSJ. (70's) My concern is I looked at the vendors list and some online sights and don't really see a source that carries all FSJ items. I was wondering if anyone has had trouble locating repair or replacement parts for their FSJ?

There is quite a bit available from BJ's and other vendors. Also lots of guys on here with used parts for sale.

FSJ's were the ugly step child as far as production volume goes when they were in production. So yes there is not the support that CJ's enjoy as far as parts go, but with some effort most stuff can be sourced you may make use of unconvential methods at times though.

There are plenty of sources for service parts. Most other parts can be found with a little searching. A few things are nearly impossible to find (ie 12" brake drums for some J-trucks), but not many.

It can take some searching, but I can usually find the stuff I want. When a tiny hard part broke in the steering column it was no big deal because there were millions of GM vehicles that used the same part and a quick internet search pulled it up.

They jused a lot of GM and Ford parts. That makes it a lot easier to find stuff. I've never had too much trouble finding stuff either.

Auto parts stores will carry all the normal stuff that breaks. The only thing I have ever had trouble finding has been distributor drive gears. They are readily available online from Bulltear but impossible to get from a parts store.
