I have access to a dana 60 rear axle unknown what it is out of but the guy said that it had the same spring perch width as a W/T. Is it worth it? It does have 5 lug axle shafts on it now so those would have to be changed but other then that I do not know to much about the condition yet.

My first question would be how much is he selling it for, to be able to tell you if it is worth what he is selling for....The second you have to ask yourself, as to how bad do you need this and do you have time to shop around.

5 lug? That would make it a semi-float version, IIRC. While probably a step up from a 44, it may not be enough bang for the buck to make it worthwhile.

The guy said he would give it to me for a 100 bucks. But I don't know if it is worth the effort.

Does any body know what that axle might of come out of. I thought that someone might have just put in after market axle shafts that were 5 lug. But maybe I am wrong again.

Most likely from a 71-73 J4000

Worth more than that to the little Jeepers if you want to make a profit

The D60-2 was also used in some Mopar muscle cars in the 60s. The bolt pattern for the wheels would be 5 on 4.5" center for those.

Ya i am thinking it is the 5 on 4.5 so you are probably right. I just need to decide if I want to mess with selling it or not.
