On the pan flange: PK3410667L 2960 6708
On the bell housing:176-1
On the valve body: 28?1295
Seems to have the same bolt pattern, shifter, cooling line ports and reverse switch. ;)

Will this bolt into my jeep, a 1982 Wagoneer with a 360 and a 727?

Is there a reliable way to tell if this tranny is working (it's not in a vehicle, and I got it a garage sale for $10) ;)

It has a 2WD tailshaft, what does it take to change this to 4WD?

Who knows of a reliable source for this info?

I don't know what the numbers mean but if it has a 2wd tailshaft it's a fair bet it's out of a 2wd Chryco rig. 80 up FSJ's never came in a 2wd flavor so it's not out of a FSJ which translates into no it won't bolt up. The Chryco 727/999's used in 80+ FSJ's have an AMC bolt pattern. If it is a 727 trans though you could pull the guts and install them in your 82 AMC patterned 727 case.

I am going to measure as best I can cuz the bell pattern looks **** close. Does anyone have the correct specs of the AMC pattern?
