I decided to have my '77 Wagoneer towed 2 blocks from my house to a shop to have brake fixed. Keep in mind that brake is all gone--no pressure!! On the same day, I decided to insure the Wagoneer. They told me that insurance would be extra $9 if I wanted their roadside service. Yale Insurance provide roadside service in regard to tow for up to 25 miles free. After that, you pay fee. I decided to go for it. Tow would have been $40, but because I decided to get roadside service insured, I saved a lot of $.
Anyway, the tow truck came for Jeep. Jeep started easily, but because of no brake, the driver would start it, drive it, stop it by putting it in 'P'. You would imagine he did it few times. The mechanic who is currently working on Jeep did the same thing.
It is doing fine, but I think we"ve to be careful about who drive it, work on it, etc.
