Had to take a drive over the last few days. Put about 1000 miles on my Jeep. The Subaru is leaking oil too bad for the trip. On the way home I stopped for a couple photo ops. Driving through the Gila Wilderness brings some nice vistas. Thanks for all the help Tad!

The roads go both directions
The roads go both directions
Yes they do.
Good stuff and bad stuff on either end.
Sometime life is harsh, most times, it's unfair at best.

must be nice, closest thing I have to compare this to is the Everglades. But there are no mountains out there...unless you count the mountains of alligators!

Sometime life is harsh, most times, it's unfair at best.Indeed!
The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows where
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
So on we go
His welfare is my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there
For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
Bridge:
If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with gladness
And love for one another
It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share
And the load doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
He's my brother
He ain't heavy, He's my brother

So, are you telling us you came through AZ. I'm in the Prescott area and would like to meet you guys on one of your trips. What route do you usually take? I'M JONESING FOR A JEEP FRIEND!!!!!
I don't know if those photos make me more envious for the scenery or the running Jeep. :p

I usually come down through the Zia Rez, Fence Lake, Reserve then run 180 to Silver City. There were many many elk on the road going down on Thursday night between Quemado and Reserve so I went home Sunday night by Luna Lake and Springerville then up 191 to I40 then back over to Gallup and on north. Did not have any deer or elk obstacles on that course. Maybe next time I go south like that I will have more time to be social. :)
Tad - Nice Pix!
