My friends and I have been doing that with dates since we were kids.
i.e. April 26 is "Hemi Day" - 4-26
April 27 is "Side Oiler Day" - 4-27
In fact that whole week in April was fun
4-25 "Big Olds" day
4-26 - "Hemi Day"
4-27 "Side Oiler Day"
4-28 "Super Cobra Jet Day"
4-29 "Boss" Day (not to be confused with March 2nd"
4-30 "Wildcat" Day

March 2nd is either "Little Boss" day or "Z-28" Day
March 27 is "SBC" day - 3-27

Kinda funny that April 1st (4-01) is "BIG AMC" day AND April fools day. :)

Some of the more obscure days are February 15 is "Rockette" day - for the 215 c.i. aluminum Olds V-8 and March 30 is "1964 442" day for the Olds 330, and "Super Duty Day" on April 21 - for the Pontiac 421.
