Hey guys,
So my AC is still busted...I need a new alternator... and generally I am sad when I go home and see my lonely jeep out in front of the house. However, I just read another post about swapping the seats out. I love the seats in the Jeep because they are very cushy . However, My seatbacks seam to recline slightly towards the center of the vehicle(Driver then leans a little right, Pass. a little left) Is this a normal thing? Can I fix it or is the only fix to replace? This isn't an urgent problem but I figured I'd ask just for the sake of askin. :D

Mine did the same thing. It's a broken upright seat frame on that side. To fix it, take the seat out and unzip the upright cover, then remove the hog rings on the bottom seat cover. Where the bottom seat frame turns to the upright, you'll see a break. I drilled holes through the corner support and the upright on both the back and the side and used 1/4" bolts to hold it together. You'll see what I mean when you get in there.

I guess you could weld it, but that would mean totally disassembling the seat.

Good luck,

Greg
