Why doesn't someone make a chain tensioner for the 1339? My memory isn't so good but when I had mine apart for rebuild seemed like there was plenty of room in there. I'm not the sharpest pencil either but I don't think it would be that hard - actually the simpler the better. *SIGH* if I only had a machine shop......... ;)

I wondered the same thing, but then look at the miles you get from the chain without a tensioner. Tensioner would only prolong the inevidable, chain will still stretch and break, and still need replacement. Tensioner would also mean more moving parts with in the case. I am partial to getting the job done with the least amount of moving parts, less to go wrong.

true very true, i guess the only thing i would be aiming to do with such a device is to prevent the chain from jumping teeth and breaking the case

RogueStar ... The BW1339 Case would need some beef-up and a tensioner for that heavy of a chain might create a lot of drag. Just think of the centrifugal force trying to move the chain outward. I think the added weight and cost would rule out the use of a tensioner…. CUL.. ;) ds..
