If I want to change my transfer case over to the lever shifted (dual range?) transfer case what all is involved? I had the lever type in my Grand Wagoneer and would prefer this style. Any input appreciated. And if anyone has one let me know. The trans is a Turbo 400 if that matters.

Do you already have another transfer case with a lowrange unit? If so, just take the lowrange unit off of the spare case and put it on the one in the truck.

No I don't have one yet, trying to find out what all I need. The transmission and case are out of the vehicle at the moment, so I would like to do the swap all at once. So the low range part is a separate unit? I am a bit clueless on this area.

Hey,
If your looking for a low range from a Quadratrac i just pulled the one out of my 77 Waggy. The case itself had self destructed due to the chain dying but the low range survived. Ill let you have the low range, factory floor shifter and even the emergancy drive knob from the glove box if you need it. 75 bucks and you pick up the shipping. Hope this helps! Ted
