I am currently going back and forth with this guy over e-mail...

He says it has 167K, but looks like 67K, with very little rust. He said the only thing it could probably use in the next couple years is springs and shocks, but he said it rides comfortably now...
He originally had it @4K and has dropped to 3,500.

Still a little high in my book, but I am not sure what rigs in that condition sell for up there. Not sure if that helps you though....

Yeah, I agree that is a little high. I also saw that you are in Michigan. I don't know how long of a trip it would take, but it seems like a long way to go. It's not that hard to find a $3500 truck like this in your backyard.

I will keep looking, I am having trouble finding a clean one up here...
A guy up here has a decent one with a rebuild, but the quarters are going and he is asking $4800!!
The search continues....
Shouldn't I be able to find a dependable runner with very little to no rust for under $3,500??

I paid 600 for my 85 and there is no rust and everything but the power mirrors work.
the motor is a little worn out though but probably good for another year or so.
this is socal though there is no way I could smog it. so I registered in Maine.
