I had a fluke opportunity to get a few of my adapter plates anodized in different colors. This got me thinking, I wonder if I should do this regularly? Aluminum tends to oxidize with time and this would protect it. If somebody wanted the silver aluminum look I could get it clear anodized and it would still protect it. Do you guys think somebody would pay an additional $10 for this (it's not free) or would more people be interested in saving the $10 and getting bare aluminum? What's everybody's favorite color (of these)?
BTW these plates allow you to run GM TBI throttle bodies in place of Carter BBD 2bbl carbs on 258s.

I like the Blue one. Would they bolt up to a 2v 360 manifold? What would the final cost be? On most of my stuff, you'ld have to soak it in a dirt, oil, ATF, antifreeze vat for several days so it matches my engine compartment....
They do look purty!
Oh, and Welcome.....

Thanks. Unfortunately the 258 and 360 use a different carb pattern so these won't work on the v8. I've been selling them on my website (www.tbiadapterplates.com) for $75 including shipping.

i would pay the xtra 10 for the anodizing, i am maintenance tech for a window covering company and we have some parts on our machines that slide against each other both aluminum, the ones we got for the machine from the factory got tore up really quick we had our local machine shop make some and anodize them and it really extended the life of the slide.
