Any of you guys know anyone that's used one of these engines? Apparently he has a good reputation for his AMC motors. And if you do a AMC crate engine search on ebay, you will see a 401 he has offered. Here's a link to the engine I'm interested in. http://www.sell.com/23M5WW and he has a 100% feed back rating for stuff he has sold on ebay. Just yanked the good running 360 out of the Heep to clean up the engine compartment and replace the rear main that's leaking a little. Thought about selling the present running motor complete, and doing a little upgrade. I can see this is going to be a costly strain on the old bank account.........my way of keeping the economy going!

Spend a little more and get one of their 401 engines.

His 401 looks mighty impressive, but the 365hp-360 is actually more than necessary for my needs. I'd be happy with a 300-325 Hp. mill in the Heep. :drivin:

I have to call them, they have offered the 360 on ebay before. They might have one ready to go, just not listed yet. Seems like a decent motor for the price. Heres there web site. http://www.tuffdawgengines.com/

You can totally buy a modern FUEL INJECTED hemi crate engine from mopar that gets the same horsepower, better milage (I'm sure) and likely weighs a lot less for $7.5K... Its brand new and your still buying "jeep" in a way.
Of course Mopar also offers street drivable 750+ horse power engines... But you'll need upward of $20K...
