from Park Point at Mesa Verde is pretty incredible some days. The elevation there is just over 8500 feet. I had an appt in town yesterday morning before work and took this pic around 11AM. Looking east towards Durango are La Plata Mountains in the distance and on the extreme left edge of the photo is Lizard Head complex near Tohelluride.

Looking west you can see the Sleeping Ute Mountain. It peaks just over 10K and is about 20 miles away.

OH Yeah, the Waggy is Krista's 77 401 w/102k in original paint. When we got it it was just shy of 59k in 2000. :drivin:

Sometimes the drive to work just blows my mind. :fsj:

Heck man, you got a real purty Jtruck coming together. That is worth something more than corn and beans. We got plenty of that out here too. Dove Creek is just north of us headed towards Moab. They are some kinda pinto bean capital of something. Sheesh, we even gonna plant some corn and beans in the garden this Spring. Oh Boy, the mud was about 5" deep out back when I hayed the horses tonight. Winter is purty but I was kind of getting used to that warm spell last month. Anyways, beans and corn is good stuff. :D Maybe it is just the Land of... ?

Nice shots as always Flint. Y'know, living up here in Dog's Country, I'm sometimes sorry that my "commute" is via computer instead of the Jeep. But I always open the drapes in time to let the window defrost so that I can watch sunrise turn the Sangres from purple to red to white. That'll do for now.

Our vacation plans this year include a trip to the Rocky Mountain NP, Durango, Pagosa Springs, and Garden of the Gods. Will be taking the MH, and I am already excited about the trip.

Thanks for sharing!
