alright, got my 258 witht eh 4.0 head and motorcraft running the other day. Man and did she run sweet, untill I went to top off the collant, then it spilled out the 4.0 water jacket openings I didn't plug (yea I know, I kicked my own Great Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley)
Any too the head back and will get those filled.
But the cool thing is that she RAN!! and was purring like a kitten! I'm stoked to get the head back so I can get the dam thing back on the road. Heck, shes been down since June!!
Next on the list is the W/T D44 and corp 14 bolt with 4.10 gears I getting.

Hey can you come to my house and knock some sense into my dad? He went and got a new 258 head from the wrecking yard for his YJ and had it rebuilt when he could have done the 4.0 head! :mad: Anyway, congrats!

Hey tadsal, yes I am going to do a small write up with pictures, no sense in doing a real big write up, there are enough out there already, but none that I have seen that use the 258 intake with the motorcraft 2100 2bbl carb.
Hey PlasticBoob, I have another 258 head he can use!! Thats funny, the first shop that I took the head to get welded (they had it for 4 weeks and did nothing)had a hard time woundering why I was doing this. That old man thought he could get more umph from my stock 258 head, I'm thinking maybe more money out of me for creative machining.
Well when I get the dam thing back on the block, I will post driving results.
