Finally got to bring her home. Needs a little more TLC on the drivers side floor pan than I expected. Basically I need a full pan for the drivers side. Hopefully I can find one, if not, I'll make one. I'd like to find a RH front fender as a full replacement, and a left side outer box panel. I'll get some better pics later, its raining out, I just got back, and I need to get a couple beers in me. I'm going to need some help and advice from you guys periodically to keep me headed in the right direction. So bear with me thru this process. Anyway, her she is at her new home..!, http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c46/undrdog/000_0804.jpghttp://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c46/undrdog/000_0802.jpg

For now...Just go thru the suspension and drive to see if anything might need replaceing. Drain and replace all the fluids. I know a brake job all around is in order. Once thats done, fix a few rust issues and get her painted. From there we will have to see. Maybe a 4" lift and some 33's .....?? One thing at a time.....

This truck looks better as a stock truck than a mudder.

O-K guys'
Here's the tire make and model. Its a bias ply tire made by Power King. Its called (Traction Camper) 8.75-16.5 size. Its a pretty deep lug. I'm not sure were the previous owner got them at, but they are new with only a few miles on them. And yes...this truck was on Craigslist in Michigan in the detroit area.

I checked around. I cant find a full length floor pan for the drivers side. I have a front replacement from BJ's to get me started. Looks like I'm going to have to fab the rest, unless one of you guys can come up with something? The floor pan is the worst issue I have going right now....The rest is gravy!

Welcome, to another Michigander!

I saw that truck on Craigslist too. Looks like a pretty good buy.

I have those same Power King bias plys on my '63. Mine are 7.00-15's, and I was able to order them through Discount Tire, but that was 7 or 8 years ago. They're actually pretty miserable to drive on, but they just look RIGHT on one of these trucks!

Nice truck! I got a spare with my j20 with similar tread pattern. It's good to know they're still avaliable!

looks like that tire equates to a 30X9.50R15LT not as big as I thought they where.

Here is the last I remember hearing from Gary.

He's our local floor pan man. His pans are a perfect fit. I have a set as do many other members. PM him.

Nice truck!

Congrats on the nice looking truck!
Speaking from experience on an 86 J20 my steering got better after I replaced the front spring/shackle bushings and it rides better with Rancho 9000 on the Buick setting.
I like the old school look with the hub caps and small tires. You may want to go to a radial tire. That looks like the stock GoodYear tire that came on dad's 82 pickup from the factory. I was sure happy when they wore out enough to get some newer, nicer riding radial tires.

It would be in your best interest to attend! You will learn more in that afternoon about these trucks, then you thought possible!Last couple times I was there,Zack had a complete oem J Truck floor pan,he was planning on using it for a pattern,to get new pieces reproduced.
