At real low speeds and....if I have the driver side window down, there is a constant "Clickity Clacking" noise coming from the front end of my Waggy. I've crawled under it and looked all over but can't seem to find anything loose. Any suggestions as to what is causing this? Bad locker? Loose brake caliper? etc... I'd say it's driving me nuts, but im already half way insane.
Thanks for your support!

Check the front axle joints for slop.

you prolly already checked to see that both hubs are un-locked?? once when I was parked on the street somebody locked my passenger side hub, it took me a while to figger out the noise.
or
is the center cap loose on your rim?
good luck,
i will second the center cap of the rim, and also the axle shaft u-joints!! (again...the axle shaft ujoints).

Look for a rock stuck in one of the tire treads. I've had that happen before.

loose Center cap
loose/bad wheel bearings (wheel will wiggle when jacked up)noise should go away when you hit the brakes
Brake dust cover rubbing/hitting
worn/dry sxle U-joint
I had the same issues. I fixed it but still don't know what it was.
Replaced wheel bearings (more times that i am willing to reveal in public)= still there
Replaced spindle and new spindle bearing (spindle stolen from my 79)= still there
Switched rotor (stolen from 79) = fixed noise
The funny thing is that the same wheel bearing/spindle/rotor combo from the '82 doesn't make any noise at all now when it's on the 79.
So the fix is buy another FSJ and start randomly swapping parts until the noise goes away. (just kidding)
good luck

Everything on this beast is loose! Dont have manual locking hubs so that cant be it.
