Well I just sold my 95 XJ so I guess it's time to get off my butt and start working on my GW. Finally the motivation I needed! I bought it two years ago and haven't really done anything to it. It's been off the road for over a year and only been started every few months.

Since the weather finally warmed up enough to do some work, I pulled it in the garage and pulled the carb off. I know I need to replace the power valve, but I'm not sure if I'll do a full rebuild or just get the power valve in and put it back togather.

I'd like to remove some of the "junk" underhood and simplify things. I almost didn't pull the carb off because of the maze of wires and tubing. I'm not sure what I can remove and what I can't. Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated.

Once I get the carb running right, I need to check over everything and then probably do a good tune up. Then maybe I'll get it back on the road. I haven't been without a driveable 4x4 since I started driving.

One of these days, maybe soon, I'll get that 4" lift put on that's been sitting in the garage. I'm pretty sure that will take care of the wag sag. It seems to sit alot lower on the drivers rear side than the passanger side. I looked for broken leaves but didn't see any.

Sounds like a plan, if it was me since you are going to ave to replace the gaskets anyway to replace the power valve you might as well rebuild the carb.

That's a common story my friend! Looks like a really nice truck. Those suckers were made for the northeast! That's where my wife got hooked on Waggys. I was working in upstate New York and she came and stayed with me for a few weeks. We road tripped into Vermont and saw a couple on the way up. They just fit so perfectly up there. Like a postcard! Good luck.
