I have a 1991 Wagonner. Recently my rear window stopped working. I removed a printed circut board(in three pieces) from the bottom of the tailgate. Is this part of the window circuit and if so where can I get a new one.

Welcome to the inop window club! I've never seen a circuit board associated with the power rear window. Sounds to me like it a timer or relay or something for the rear window defroster if your vehicle is so equipped. Either that or it's a Martian tracking device and you should prepare yourself to be snatched up and probed.

I had same problem on my '79 Wagoneer.
I simply removed the security switch that operates on the LH tailgate lock and connected the wires together. The only thing is remember to dont operate the window with tailgate open.
It could be a bit difficult to open the gate, because the switch operates directly on the lock, and I think it is not a genius touch in design... (I dont know if later Wagoneers were similar..)

the ckt brd may be part of the rear wiper,if you have one.wagonitaly is on to something.try pushing in on the upper left hand corner of the gate whilst operating rear key sw. thats how ive been opening mine lately. wunna these days ill get around to jumping out the sw.
