ANyone know how similar a 76 and a 73 wiring harness might be? I picked up a 76 J20 that needs some work on the engine bay. Thinking I might pull the harness from my parts 73 J10 if it will plug into the bulkhead connector...

Different ignition system, different alternator.

Did the 73 even have the fuse block yet, or was it still all inline ?

The differences in the ignition can make it a real pain to try and adapt.

Easiest way is to get the harness from a '76.

Maybe I should have said ignition switch. Not even the same! They mount differently and the connections are different.

Compare it to a later model switch, you'll see what I'm talking about.
