View Full Version : 360 Crank Question?
I am looking at a used 1971 360. According to a website, the 72 and up have a flywheel centering hub on the back of the crankshaft, 71 and older do not have this hub. Will this motor, whether it has the hub or not, bolt up to a 727 tranny, flexplate etc.???? Had a similar post earlier, but this one is more specific. Thanks

I don't beleive that a late 72+ flexplate will work, would a 71 360 flexplate from a
AMC (Madidor of something) work ? I would guess so. But not sure if AMC used
the Borg Warner auto or the Chry, trans in the cars it 71. You might want to check
on the AMC files, those guys would know. I know that a adapter can be machined to make
the 71 crank look like a 72+ crank.
