I just installed my chromoly axles and locker so I had to try them out. Look how reverse arched the rear springs are. These tires are 37's, I'm not sure the 41" irocs are going to fit without a lot more fender trimming or more bumpstop. Thanks:fsj: Erik

Looks good:thumbsup:. Before my Waggoneer looked the way it does now, i ran 37" sx's and it did very well. I think you are right tho, 41" irocs may be an issue, run the 37's and i think you will have fun, besides unless your on 1 ton axles, 41's will grenade your waggy axles.

What axle are you running in the front? I have a dana 44 from a 78 f250 and I'm looking for chrome moly axles for it.
Looks good!!

These are good reference pics. Thanks. That looks awesome. I'm planning on trimming just past the woodgrain trim on mine for some worn out 44's

I just put in yukon chromoly axles and yukon chromoly super joints. I wanted to keep my dana 44 for the clearance but have axle strength of a dana 60. I've read that the yukon axles for the d44 are actually stonger than the stock dana 60 axle. The stock dana 44 axles are turned soooo small just outside the splines. My yukons only get bigger outside the splines. I should've taken pics of them. The axle joints and axles are lifetime warranty. There are no needle bearings in them so the cap pins are huge like a dana 60. I think I read that they are even bigger than a dana 60's joint pin's. Look at this link on them. The grease that they use is very strange looking and is very tacky. It gets on everything. http://completeoffroad.com/i-123838-yukon-super-u-joint-d44-kit-yp-sj-297x-203.html

I have stock springs in the back with 4" blocks and BDS 4" lift springs in the front. The front is still pretty flexy. I'm worried the rear springs are going to break bending like that. It didn't even come close to pulling a tire on those piles. I wonder what it would do on a rti ramp. I'll have to check.

Makes me glad my 40's only measure 37"......
Love the truck. Start figuring out a cage.

looking good. i'll have to look at chromo's for my HD44 front once i start snapping shafts. might be worth it to keep the 'smaller' housing of the D44 for clearance if strength and price are about the same.

Personally, I think you would be better off just going with a 60 in the first place. With chromos in a 44 might be about as strong as a "stock 60" but on a stock one the outer shafts are 30 spline and not much bigger than a 44 and almost exactly the same size as a toyota outer!!! Yeah I was shocked when I compared them. I broke a 60 outer with 36s.
And also a 44 is pretty weak internally compared to a 60. So your best bet would be to get a 60 and upgrade to 35 spline outers and never have to worry about it. Well at least with up to 40-44" tires.
Once again just my 2 cents....
