Dude says its a dana 70S. I know about the 70U, but never heard of a 70S. Anyone ever heard of, or know anything about this axle? I'm still not even sure if it is a dana.

I think the mfg's sticker on the axle tube confirms. Looks like a nice axle but you may want to call Randy's Ring and Pinion to see if there are any hang-ups with replacement parts, like a locker.

I'd research this booger. Some of these newer axles have little aftermarket support yet. I am also leary of words like " believed to be" in his description. He uses that for axle size/spline.
The discs would be nice, but I will have less then $500 in a true D70HD including adding discs But that is w/o a parking brake.

No plans to pick this one up. I am too broke right now, and its too far away. But I was just wondering if anyone had heard of this axle. Figured it might be a source for a D70 rear axle with factory disc brakes, other than the hard to find 02 dodge 2500 one.
