I was reading some old topics in a search for an answer. Old topic states" Will an AMC 360 from '72 still bolt in an '82 that has a TF727??". My question is that if a 360 from a '87 GW will fit into a '73 J?? pick up truck with a TH400?. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it will bolt right in, just use the flexplate for the TH400. You will also need a vacume line from the intake manifold to the modulator on the tranny.

You'll also need to insert the crankshaft bushing for the TH400 because the 80 and up don't have one.
