Has anyone ever brought home an FSJ unit without any axles.
There is a guy with unit that has the drive train removed. He has sold the front axle and is trying to sell the rear. The price is reasonable for the FSJ, but I cannot figure out the logistics of getting a body and frame without axles home. It is about 2 hours from me. Any suggestions?

Very carefully

Sorry, couldn't help it. Easy thing to do would slap some axles under there just to get her on the trailer, but if you don't have access to them you could use logs to roll it. Just my 2 cents

Find someone with a winch mounted on a trailer, it'll slide.... Get some 4x8 sheets of plywood, that'll help.

Rent a big fork lift or front end loader

Not sure what the answer is.
Its shaping up like I will not be able to see it in person until Saturday.
I will just decide if it the price is worth the effort based on the condition when I see it then.
springs on it still?

if springs are on it you could get some mobilehome axles off c/l and slap them under temporarily

if he would let you take it home with the axles then pull the axles and return them maybe he would knock some loot off just so he did not have to (if they are under it still that is)

ive suspended mine in the air about 4 feet using a comealong and the rafters and backed my trailer under it...just depends on the situation and what he has around to use to help

Maybe wait around. There has to be a better deal for a whole truck than truck without front axle and drive train.
