To cure Jeep addiction, I've heard through the grapevine that one must travel to Toledo Ohio to the torn down Jeep plant site, then walk around the last remaining Overland Smokestack three time backwards. If that doesn't work, some have had success by counting the bricks in the stack.. :D

If im on step three this is going to be a pretty expensive 12 step program

To over come the jeep addiction one must first DIE!

So now I believe you must live with your new drug of choice FSJ's.

And I am sure someone will take them off your hands for.

Unfortunately for you, you are in the land of hidden FSJ treasures! I don't think there is a cure as long as you are in the NW. I swear there is someone in Idaho proudly displaying some great find that they got for some great price on here every week!
I know...I lived in Boise for 10+ years and that is where I got the '88. Granted, I never seemed to find the older wagons or WT's when I was actually looking to buy one.

My only advice is to drive with blinders on and only have enough gas in your car to get to and from where you need to go. These are to keep you from wandering off after some rig you spotted beside someone's barn or in their back yards..

I find I spend much more time these days on here than I do out in the garage wrenching. But, I am waiting on parts..not that there is not plenty for me to work on that are not related to those parts...

A few weeks ago I was dying to buy back into the Jeep club. My wife told me very firmly that we needed to wait a year and we would be in a better financial position. She also told me that the LAST thing she wanted was for me to buy one cheap to rebuild.

So I bought two.

honestly, FSJs are way too addictive. and this site is addictive, and makes it easy to add multiple addictive FSJs to your collection. its a viscious circle.

That doe NOT work. I tried it, ended up buying a 79 cherokee about 3 weeks later. :)

I had to pick up my nephew from his friends house this evening and saw a J truck sitting be hind a bunch of cars in there yard. As soon as he got in the wagon, I was probing him for for info like a stong out junky. Who's is it, is it there DD, do they want to sell it...

Look how many Jeep owners here have multiple Jeeps. Not counting the parts rigs they have also.

I have 3 now

I have sold 2 drivers

Gone through 3 parts rigs/scraped

Looks like I'm on my 8th step:dancingbanana:

All this in a span of 6 years, I've had Dad's Jeep since 1992 but it was a garage case. I blame this site for my addiction.
Thank You, Al Gore for inventing the internet.

Just wait till you start buying just parts alone. Take a good look at the livingroom while it is still empty. Then the diningroom, pretty soon.... welll
You'll see..:D

I'm on at least step 2. If if were to count all the fsj's I grew up around I would be on step 8 for certain.
Yep - the site is addicting - and I'm also waiting for parts and machine work to be completed.

I try to keep it simple.

My Higher Power said it was OK.

I'm only on my 2nd, and my 1st lasted about 4 years before I decided to part it to fund project #2. Still have my eyes out for that deal of a J-truck that's just waiting on me.

Lockedcj7, welcome to the FSJ club from another SC FSJ'er. If you haven't already, go check out CFSJC.com, great group of guys when they aren't bickering like an old married couple.

It is definately an addiction. I got my first and just planned on playing around with it but then my wife decided she wanted it for her so once I get the Cherokee set up right for her I will be looking for a J truck for myself. This website is what has kept my interest in fixing it up and without everyone that is on it providing inspiration I would have given it up.
Thank You All

An addiction? I don't think so! It's more like the reason we need air to breathe. I need to stare, search, and roam on this site just to stay alive! I love my 82 Cherokee. Now I'm looking for a J truck and been eyeing one a couple miles away. Can't wait to get my hands on a gladiator! I feel like Mr. Burns on the Simpson's...always scheming a plan up to grab another fsj. Smithers....!

My addiction continues, although if you average mine from when I was hooked (1967), then its hardly more than one a year. And no Im not in denial.

Yeah, I'm laid off too. Going crazy seeing all these great deals on J trucks on craigslist. Also, my fiance is asking why I need a Wagoneer. She thinks its the same thing as the Cherokee!

maybe I need to narrow down my addictions; FSJs, old mustangs, classic ford pick ups, and boating. So far one of each and its a continuing circle of "fun":D

I'm still on my first one. I don't see how anyone could afford to buy anymore than that, with all the money it takes to maintain a daily driver. For those of you that can afford more than one, more power to you:thumbsup:

When my wife and i were looking for a new home, i didn't plan on buying acreage, but when we drove up to (our house now) the place that sat on just over an acre, in the county district, the first thing she said was "so how many jeeps you thinking of buying now?" lol, i now have 3. As the comment said earlier buy someone, Idaho has sooooo many fsj's sitting around, i can't count how many times i have been driving around and almost ran off the road because i was looking in a field at one.
