I saw this in the paper today. Thought it was funny when they said the crooks abandoned the vehicle. I'm guessing it broke down!!

At least Milwaukee's finest were quick about catching the guys!

Due to the relative lack of FSJ's on the road it would be hard for the police to miss. Glad he got it back.

I love South Carolina!
Try that with me in the Jeep and the bad guy will get shot in the face. ;)

Well I hope never to try it running from the cops in an FSJ would be hella fun.
Offroad chase much?
BTW there was a TV program that shows car chases... A guy took a jacked up ford f250 4x4 offroad... Only episode they ever showed where the bad guy escaped (cop car got stuck in some mud).

The Jeep owner should get to keep the gun.

Ya'll are thinking of the Gladiator from the 44 minutes North Hollywood shootout. The Jeep had a Rhino grille and a PTO winch IIRC. It was on Ebay awhile back.

 One shot, one kill. AFAIK there's no body armor for the face.

Don't be hatin' Thom...you could always move away from the state of Massconfusion.
This is the best thread to 'jack'. :D

Wow, the police actually did something? I'm impressed.
The Jeep owner should get to keep the gun.
That sounds fair.

The people that would carjack a FSJ are the same idiots that would carjack a 36hp VW Microbus...:rolleyes2:

rofl!! Crooks are so dumb these days. I saw a video one time of a dude who tried to rob a bank with a chainsaw. That would have worked if he had remembered to bring a extension cord to plug it in with. A Chainsaw that needs electricity without .......electricity didn't even scare the teller. The robber figured it out in the middle of making demands and left out of embarrassment.

In Santa Fe the bank robber would have used a solar powered chain saw :D

Was that the one where the cop car caught on fire as well and started a small brush fire? That was awesome! I've outrun the flashing red and blues once or twice but never anything that motivated (at least the episode I saw). And it certainly wasn't in a FSJ

They obviously missed the page in the criminal hand book that says you should never try to jack a car older than you.
Second clue they missed. The guy drives a FSJ, how much money can he have?
I would almost feel obligated to give them some tips before drivng away. Like, make sure you close the drivers side door all of the way or it will swing open on ya (imagine their suprise if they go around a corner fast without a seat beat on). Or, you have to mess with the high/low switch sometimes to get it to work. Of course I would point out which key is the locking gas cap, let them know they will need to stop for gas soon. lol
Actually, come to think of it, I would just grab the keys, they slide out while the engine is running.
If I was thinking on my feet I would either put the parking brake on (that would take them a minute to figure out) or simply pull the TC in N.
