if you cut the flare off at the body and rip that off first the you can persuade the inner wheel well to butt up to you body and weld it. I don't have any pictures but someone else probably will post some.

i dont really want to but im a mason (so no bodywork ability built into my body:) ) and both sides have rust at the corner of each well otherwise body is in mint condition figured this would be best bet to make it look good and functional at least with my body work abilitys...

Which flares are bad? If just the front, I would consider getting new front fenders. If they're all bad, do what you have to but I'm not gonna watch

Fronts have no rust its the rears that have rust on each side of wheel well and on both wheel wells about 2 inches square

Honestly if it was my rust free rig except for the rear flares I would find a way to get some new ones on there. They make vinyl flares or you could find a donor and cut out the section of the body containing the flares and have them professionally fabbed in. (I am not a body guy either and I can't weld to save my life) Or...you could just have your 2" holes patched up. Just my two cents- I think the WT flares are a big reason why these Jeeps look so cool. Don't look now, I am trying to enlist you in a Save the Fender Flares 12 step program.

vinyl flairs huh? where can i look and do some research on those...i would rather keep them then cut them...maybe go with a wider flair to help out with some 12.5 tires sticking out...

Anyone have a good web site that has a wider fender flare that i can put on to maybe cover this prob? the rust is right at the edge of wheel well on bottom

Orange- post some pictures of what you are talking about. People could probably help you better if they could see exactly what you are talking about.

Not to sway you.....but I'm a cutter.
Here's my old honcho. 37s on stock J20 springs. I just used a long sawzall blade and used the line as a guide. Very clean cut, clean up with a flap disc

^^^ did a much better job than I did with mine but that's exactly how I cut mine and couldn't be happier. People who don't cut usually vote democratic and smell like hippies.

I cut mine pretty much the same just left a 1/2" extra that I bent in to make a lip so I don't cut myself or the tires, and I did the same with the wheel well and both sides met and I tacked them together for a strong fender.

People who don't cut usually vote democratic and smell like hippies.Cute Nick. :) A liberal application of Hello Kitty stickers on the FSJ usually offsets the dirty hippie smell for the occupants too. ;)

They are stock H2 hummer wheels on 37 MTRs
I ended up with 39.5 iroks on those wheels...and on a completely different vehicle :)
