Hi, I'm an avid 4 wheeler and recently purchased my 3rd Jeep/ second FS. As a teenager I drove a '67 Gladiator (back in '80-83) and now have an '87 J10. In addition to the J10 I have a custom CJ5 that I've been building and beating. I plan on RestoModing the J10 and having it as a tow rig for myself and a Ddriver for my son. I look forward to being a member of this group and tapping into all the knowledge here.
I work as a Industrial Maintenance Supervisor in Tampa Fl. and play with 4-bi-4's as a hobby. Been doing it since I had the Gladiator.

i'd go with untill you die, being broke don't matter to much unless it is you only ride.then you fell the pain when you can't afford a new engine.even the you feel the need to get it running.
don't ask a long story.
the only thing i can drive is fsj, cause i drive with my left foot.due to my amputation my right foot don't bend. the fsj is the most confortible thing i have i have drove even compaired to a cadilac feetwood.more leg room in the fsj.i will not drive anything but a fsj:cool:

Hah Hah! Yes, my wife already refers to the Cj as the Mistress:D She wasn't happy when I purchased the FS. However, I told her that it was for OUR son and that I was only going to get it running for him.

Bubba the "Love Sponge". No I dont listen to him and Im not sure if he's still in town. In regard to my new passion, our 87 J10 has no rust, 360 V8 that may or may not be in good condition and a blown transmission. My son and I are slowly correcting all the Rig-n, splic-n, knot-n that the previous owner was unable to do correctly. I have several quotes of $600 to rebuild the trany (is that a good deal) here locally. Ive got to get the wet carpet out of the truck before it rots through and bedliner/under coat the bed and floors. Oh yeh--does the bed seams rot from undernieth or from the inside of the bed. I want to make sure that I coat the right areas to prevent rot.

We've mad a lot of progress. We fixed the oil pressure problem (thanks to U guys) even though it leaks, have totally stripped the drive train. We are paint-n the motor pewter and AMC blue:p and are saving money to rebuild the trany. Weve removed the cheap wiring gizmos and all the hanging vent tubing (guy said he didnt mud it).:fsj: We also removed the non functional radio, interior and are preparing to bed line it.
