I tried setting my curb idle by adjusting the fuel shutoff (TSP) solenoid. Problem is, I don't think it's working. There's 12v going to it when the ignition is on, but it doesn't move. So I ended up setting the idle by using the screw on the throttle lever - not the right way, but it's a good temporary fix. The worst part - Napa and autozone can't get the part.
Anybody know anything about these, either where to get them or how to fix one?
you mean the anti diesel solenoid?that should not have anything to do with your idle, what carb do you have?

I have a 2150. Yes, it is the anti-diesel solenoid. It was my understanding that you set the idle with that. That way, when you turn the key off, it shuts it more until it stops where the screw is set.

marcd....you can unplug the solenoid about 4 inches from its bottom there is a disconnect, you can see it move in and out if its working (just the ignition should be on for it to work)

Yep - that's it g503, except without the dashpot. Thanks for the link.
Thanks dandy - actually had the thing all the way when I was messing with it. I noticed the wire, where it connects to the solenoid, was real loose. I tightened it to get a better connection, but it still doesn't work. Funny thing was, where it connects, it looks like it is just connected to plastic. It moves freely by hand and does have spring tension, it just doesn't do anything when it's energized.
well i meantto send a link that shows how to set the carb,i did a google search and there are many
