I know this topic has been hashed out many times , but I am on the verge of spending the money and I was wondering if you guys would share your thoughts. Worth it ? Waste of Money? Holley versus other?

What ever you have to offer I would appreciate.
I am considering ordering a Holley projection kit in the near future. I know that there are other kits available but this one is avaliable in Canada for a reasonable price.

Forget the Holley. Go with either Howell or Customefis.com. Howell is much more money $1200 but a good setup. Customefis.com is cheaper $899 for Jeep, usually behind on orders, takes 6-8 weeks to get setup but his customer service is better than most. Most I have heard from Holley users is problems. But some have good luck with them. I'm sure somebody else will pipe in about the Holley.

Isn't Edelbrock about to come out with a version? It might even be available already. But I guess that would make you the Guinea pig . . . smile.gif

I concur with AMX Factor. Let Customefis build the system for you. Not only cheaper but he will make sure it runs right after you install it. He will also help you if you upgrade to a different manifold or cam in the future. The big hassle of efi is getting the right program on the chip. Everyone else sends you a standardized version, but Customefis will work to get it just right for your engine or help you program it yourself.

been running the old holley analog system for several years. bought it off ebay for 300 bux. edelbrock 4bbl manifold for 130. holley closed-loop system for 130. all used. had to replace the throttle position sensor once. very simple system, works just fine for me!

YMMV

Edelbrock is supposed to have the EFI system ready for 2004, but I've yet to find a place that carries them. It's part number 3531. Here is a link: http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/new2004/amc_efi.html Looking at the prices for the Chevy and Ford Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI systems in the Summit Catalog, I would guess ours will probably be in the $2000 - $2600 range. This is for multi-point fuel injection, not to be confused with TBI systems that are much cheaper...for example Holley's TBI systems run about $1300-1400. I don't have any experience with the products yet, but I think what customefis offers for the price is exceptional. Port fuel injection (which I gather is a synonym for point or multipoint) from customefis runs around $1600, AMX factor's price mentioned above is for the TBI. No matter what you want to do though, www.customefis.com (http://www.customefis.com) is cheaper than about anyone I think. Whatever you do, let us know...I'll be doing this on my 360 rebuild.
